Stuart Bilby has had leading roles in the following major projects:
Kopupaka Reserve stormwater wetlands- Westgate Town Centre - Auckland Council
Design of 6 large stormwater treatment wetlands including hydraulic modelling, geotechnical investigation, dam design, retaining walls, streetscape and urban design, CPTED and IPTED assessments, utility services design, LID and earthworks design. Winner World Architecture Landscape of the Year 2016.
Auckland International Airport - North Airport Development
Design of water, wastewater and stormwater master plans for 500 hectares of commercial, industrial and airport development including the new runway and detailed design of initial stages including stormwater treatment wetlands. Management of project including new roundabout on motorway, arterial roads and commercial/industrial development including roading, sewer, stormwater, sewer, landscaping, communications, lighting and Transit approvals. Obtaining comprehensive resource consents for earthworks, stream filling and stormwater discharge for new runway.
Paeroa Sewage Treatment Plant - Hauraki District Council
Investigating options, obtaining resource consents, design and supervision of construction for new Paeroa sewage treatment plant including main pump station, 2.7 km of 600 dia rising main, aerated ponds, gravel filter beds, UV disinfection plant and nitrifying filters.
New Lynn Rail Station; ONTRACK
Management of design team for large-scale stormwater, sewer, water and gas main relocations for $160M rail project undertaken as part of a Fletcher-Beca-Synergine design-build consortium. Responsibilities included design, reticulation and treatment of stormwater, $10M of services diversions including high pressure bulk gas line, Telecom bulk copper cables, Watercare mains and stormwater overland flow paths. Obtaining stormwater consents and flood management.
